Frequently asked questions

How accurate are your 3D scans?
We use long-range LiDAR scanners paired with locally established control points to achieve typical tolerances of ±5 mm on architectural features and ±7 mm on MEP systems. Every point cloud and derived model goes through a two-stage QA/QC process—one in the field and one in our processing studio—so you can confidently use the data for coordination, design, or fabrication.
How long does a typical scan take?
Most commercial interiors under 50,000 sq ft can be fully scanned in a single day. You’ll receive the clean point cloud within two business days and model-ready CAD/Revit files one to two days after that. Larger or more complex assets receive a custom timeline before kickoff, so there are no surprises.
What deliverables do you provide?
Standard packages include a clean point cloud (E57 or RCP), layered DWG/DXF files, and a plan/elevation PDF set. If required, we also deliver LOD 200–300 Revit models and IFC files for BIM coordination. Facilities teams often request an editable asset or room data spreadsheet—just let us know your preferred format and we’ll tailor the drop.
Will scanning disrupt normal site operations?
Not at all. Our scanners are silent and tripod-mounted, and each scan setup takes 60–90 seconds. We co-ordinate with your site or facilities team to work around sensitive areas, peak hours, or secure zones, which ensures zero impact on safety or productivity.
Can you update scans after changes in the field?
Yes. We keep the master scan and model active for 90 days (longer if you’re on retainer). If any walls move or new equipment arrives, we perform a targeted “delta scan” to capture only the changed areas. We then update the master model without re-scanning the entire site—saving you time and cost.
